For a data migration, as for any project, it is vital to get the basic strategy right from the outset. The prospect of a large-scale migration may seem daunting, especially for an organisation with no experience of such a change. We can help, by carrying out a combined feasibility study and strategy review, to assess the benefits and risks of
the migration against a standard set of criteria. As part of the same review we can evaluate any data migration tools that may be under consideration, including any specific migration functionality within the target system.
Once the migration project is under way we can offer practical consultancy at any stage, whether or not we are directly involved in the implementation. Hence we
can produce, or contribute to, any of the following:
- quality reviews of project deliverables
- system testing strategy
- user acceptance testing strategy
- independent data analysis
- strategy for reconciliation and sign-off of the migration
- detailed logistical planning of the migration event.
